  • Where are you located?

  • What time are your classes?

    We offer classes seven days a week, including mornings, daytime, and evenings. Our full timetable can be found here.

  • How much are classes?

    We offer a range of intros, class packages and memberships. Full information and prices can be found here.

  • What kind of classes do you offer?

    All our classes are boxing but they vary in skill and intensity. Some are more advanced than others, there are classes for all from beginner to experienced and ready for sparring. There is a description for each class on our schedule.

  • Do you have showers and lockers?

    We have modern shower facilities and there are lockers for your session, but not overnight lockers. We sell padlocks if you happen to forget your own.

  • Do you offer 1-2-1 boxing coaching?

    Yes, we offer a range of personal coaching, including blocks of coaching, and individual sessions.

  • Do you offer private group classes?

    Yes, we can offer various group coaching, including corporate boxing and general classes.

  • When should I arrive for my class?

    We would recommend that you arrive 15 minutes before your first class so that we can show you around and you can meet our team.

  • How old do I need to be to come to 12x3/can children come to classes?

    You must be at least 16 years old to attend our classes. However, we have a children's class on Saturday mornings for ages of 7-11. You can be any age for private training.

  • Are your classes suitable for beginners?

    Our classes are open to beginners but if you are feeling nervous, you can always arrange some 1-2-1 sessions, to build up your skills.

  • Do i need to be good at boxing to do a session?

    Not at all. Never boxed? Done boxercise? Had 5 fights? You’re a pro? Whatever your ability, all comers are welcome and all levels will be pushed!

  • What should I wear?

    Make sure that you are comfortable and can move easily. General workout clothing like leggings or shorts with a t-shirt are suitable.

  • Do I need to bring any equipment with me?

    Wraps are advised which we sell for £7.99, gloves we can lend but recommend you buy your own. We sell them for £49.99

  • Is 12x3 a female Friendly gym?

    With a 50/50 split male and female and a higher influx of interest from women than men in the sport we pride ourselves at 12×3 for being welcoming to anybody and everybody.

Boxing FAQ's

  • What is boxing?

    +

    Simply put, boxing is a combat sport, between two people who compete in strength, skill and agility by throwing and avoiding punches. By attending our classes, you will soon learn there is far more to it than that. For us it is an art, a form of expression, and a skill that you will never stop learning and improving on. It’s also a great way to increase your fitness and improve your wellbeing.

  • Will I be hit?

    This is entirely up to you! If you aren’t ready for full contact boxing or just prefer to learn the craft without getting hit, we have plenty of non-contact classes. For those that want to learn how to spar / develop your ringcraft we have technical sparring and open sparring classes.

  • How do I start boxing?

    Joining 12x3 is the perfect way to begin your boxing journey. We have a team of thoroughly experienced boxing champions who can coach you and provide exceptional training.

  • Can you teach me to box if I haven’t got any experience?

    Yes, we have classes that are suitable for absolute novices to experienced boxers.

  • What are the benefits of boxing?

    There are numerous mind and body benefits for boxing, including:

    • Increasing general strength
    • Relieving stress
    • Improving your core muscles
    • Raising your bone mineral density
    • Increasing cardiovascular health
  • Is boxing safe?

    Though boxing is quite a physical sport, we have safety measures and protective equipment that helps to protect all participants from injury. It is worth noting that if you do wish to take part in contact boxing (sparring), that there is a risk of getting injured. We make sure the contact classes are safe spaces for all our members to learn and build confidence in the ring
