12X3 has established itself as one of London’s leading boxing clubs. What makes us stand out is simple: we truly welcome everyone to learn the art. Whether you want to compete at the highest level or simply learn the discipline without ever stepping into opposition, 12X3 is the place to acquire the discipline and hone it
Traditional boxing gyms often cater exclusively to competitors, while many boutique studios borrow the name of boxing without practising the craft itself. 12X3 bridges that gap. We have successfully merged authentic, high-level boxing with inclusive training — without compromise.

12X3 was founded by Ryan Pickard and Darren Barker.
Ryan, a former GB boxer and club captain at Repton Boxing Club for more than a decade, won multiple international medals — most notably Junior World silver, Youth Commonwealth gold, and European bronze.
Darren enjoyed a glittering international amateur career, winning Commonwealth gold and representing the renowned Repton stable under Tony Burns. He went on to become IBF Middleweight Champion of the World before retiring and reforming his allegiance with former club mate Ryan for the 12X3 journey.
The club was built with one clear purpose: to support every stage of the boxing journey. Whether you have never thrown a punch or you are preparing for a world title, 12X3 adapts to you.
Londoners from all trades, backgrounds, and cultures mix at the club. Experienced boxers train alongside beginners. At the same time, some of the biggest names in the sport — Anthony Joshua, Oleksandr Usyk, and Vasyl Lomachenko — have prepared for world title bouts within our walls, to name just a few. At 12X3, boxing is more than competition. It is a vehicle for building confidence, strength, fitness, mental resilience, and technical skill. We provide a safe, supportive environment where people can challenge themselves, express themselves, and grow — without intimidation.
Ryan and Darren’s passion for boxing was shaped at Repton Boxing Club, where they first experienced the transformative power of the sport. 12X3 was created to make those benefits accessible to a wider audience.
“ No Guts No Glory ” — a slogan brought forward from the Repton “mothership” — continues to inspire within our walls. The Repton prayer and the poem Don’t Quit remain as tributes to the club that shaped the founders.
Make no mistake: Repton is a club that cannot be replicated — and we never attempted to. 12X3 has its own style, its own character, and its own culture. The elements you may recognise are there in honour of the club that gave Ryan and Darren the opportunity to express themselves through the noble art.
12X3 continues to evolve.
Beyond daily training, we offer:
Everything we do is driven by growth, development, and connection — both with and without the gloves on. We continue to search for new ways to evolve.
As Tony Burns once said: “I’m only interested in people that want to learn from things and get on in life. I want them to prove things, and give them some encouragement.”
That spirit runs through the DNA of 12X3.
Our coaches are carefully selected — rooted in experience and passion, not only for the sport but for helping others push beyond perceived limitations. We hope you feel that the moment you walk through our doors.
Boxing, when done properly, can be the vehicle to truly get to know yourself. It’s a great sport that we really believe in.
